The value comes out as picograms/cell and is usually in the range of 27 -31. Hemoglobin is the oxygen carrying molecule in the blood. Mch is useful for classifying types of anemia.

Labs are of little value absent good history, physical exam and a thoughtful knowledgeable doctor.
