Depends: Heaviness in the legs can have several causes, including circulation problems ("vascular claudication"), nerve-related issues ("neurogenic claudication"), muscle fatigue, muscle conditions, and general deconditioning. If your problem persists, it is worth visiting with your doctor.  Take note of any symptoms affecting your arms or your bladder-- that can help the doctor sort through your problem.

in cold temperatures my legs feel like concrete: very heavy & hard to walk. when this first happened a few years ago i had an mri on my legs and nothing was found. i am trying to get ideas for causes as i've been told i'm making it up?

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. Wish you good health!

Need MRI of C Spine: As a spine surgeon, I think your problem could be cervical spinal stenosis with compression of spinal cord. If that is what you have, you will more likely than not get worse with time. Please see a spine surgeon to be examined and you must get an MRI of Cervical Spine. If you have what I think you have, surgery is highly recommended and you can get relief of almost all of your symptoms.

Doctor can evaluate: For a college-aged woman with ankle pain, her doctor will want to know about trauma or over-use. Different people have differing perceptions of pain, so it can be hard to tell what a patient really feels without an in-person exam. If a sprained ankle is very painful or if not improving daily after the first two days, a doctor's exam can help decide whether or not there is a fracture.

left knee on the lateral side is hurting after i twisted my left knee, i am in excruciating pain enough to cry. can the tendons and ligaments tear with this motion? how much force is needed. hurts to apply weight hard to walk without limping. help?

: Yes tendon and ligaments can tear, as well as possibly menisci and articulating cartilage.  These soft tissue structures are mostly invisible on Plain x-rays (though these tend to be ordered first to exclude a bony fracture).  The ligaments are often more commonly injured, (also menisci), anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments, lateral and medial collateral ligaments,are main support for knee.

Leg pain: It is time for a good exam by a rheumatologist as your symptoms could due to several reasons 

it is nothing like a good evaluation followed by focused diagnostic tests prior to treatment.

Your : Your symptoms are very concerning for me.  Having numbness is concerning for a neurological issue.  Please be seen immediately and have this evaluated.  Try to notice if you are also having back pain.

If you develop increased pain, any weakness, worsening numbness, or change in bladder or bowel control then you must go immediately to the er.

my 6 year old is constantly complaining about leg pain.  says it's hard to walk. not sure if this its growing pains or more serious. concerned?

Leg pain: The diagnosis will vary if unilateral leg affected vs. both at the same time. Observe for redness, swelling and fever, moderate limping. Usually, it is musculo-skeletal
from activities in this active age group. Can try a trial of Advil or aleve every 8-12 hrs. If above symptoms arise, or continues with pain past 3-5 d, should be checked by your pediatrician. "Growing pains " are usually at nite.
