87 M w/: Your profile indicate that  are diabetic and also take lots of medication, including medications for blood pressure, possibly beta blocker? Are you on insulin? What are your sugars like before going to bed? And right at the time you start sweating? This could be related to your diabetes and should be discussed with your doctor.

Many options: There is a condition called hyperhidrosis which is excessive persperation.  This can happen in the armpits, hands or feet.  There are different options for treatment from prescription deodorants to surgery.  In my practice, I use Botox which can reduce sweating in the armpits.  This is a temporary treatment that needs to be repeated.

Sweating: Just in case you didn't think of the obvious,check the temperature of the room and how much clothing she is wearing.Unlikely her weight has anything to do with it.
You can wait until your next routine visit with your pediatrician.

Night sweats: Some causes are menopause, sleep apnea, medications such as prednisone/antidepressants/aspirin, alcohol use, hypoglycemia, hormonal changes, infections, gerd.

what does it mean when i sweat at night? the air isnt necessarily is on cold. sometimes my shirt  is sweaty at night or when i wake up.

Night sweats?: Minor sweating probably doesn't mean much, e.g. if your bedclothes are just a bit damp. However, heavy sweating (i.e. true night sweats), enough to soak your clothing or sheets, can be a sign of serious illness. It means there is fever that breaks during the night. Tuberculosis and other chronic infections are examples. If in doubt, best to see a doctor for a comprehensive check-up. Good luck!

Night sweats: You should take your temperature when you feel your body is warm, preferably prior to beginning to sweat, which is the body's way of losing heat.  If you have fever you need to see a doctor and be fully evaluated.  Put together a full history with all symptoms and times that they occur and bring this with you to the doctor. Good luck.

: If you do not have fever and have not lost weight, I would not be concerned. Reduce the amount of covers and may be use a fan in the room.
For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. 
Get HPV and Covid vaccines. Wish you good health!

: No.   Especially since you did sweat profusely prior to the Covid infection.  Stay hydrated, eat healthy and get plenty of rest.

Sweaty sleeper: Is he otherwise a good sleeper? Does he snore, gasp or move around during sleep? If yes, sweating may reflect a sleep disorder. Otherwise, the normal fall in body temperature during sleep may be impeded by over-insulation with too many blankets, comforters, or a sleeping room temperature that’s too high. These processes differ between men and women. Try letting him set the thermostat ;-)
