May be a stroke: The "so high" blood pressure may have caused a stroke involving one of the speech centers in the brain. If this is new, recommend going to the hospital right away.  If it happened a while ago, it may go away, especially with speech and rehabilitative therapy.

Evaluation: You need to be evaluated right away.  This could be due to a migraine but could also be the symptoms of a stoke.  Please get evaluated as soon as possible.

Not usually: Many things can cause slurred speech. With certain neurological conditions that cause slurred speech focusing on the problem can make it worse. (We also see this with stammering and stuttering ). The list of conditions that cause the various types of slurred speech is lengthy. (From degenerative conditions to complicated migraine, stroke, focal seizure, poisonings and intoxication.

Acute: If it came on suddenly need to go to ER immediately.Depending on how long to get into see someone Neurologist,if that takes too long then Primary care.This is very concernong for a stroke.See someone soon

Unsure: Unsure what has been done.Basic blood work should have been done as well as syphillis test,Tuberculosis test..Also MRI head,carotid ultrasound ans echo of heart done.In addition referral to Neurologist.Does sound like stroke and a swallowing study should also be done to make sure not at right for aspiration.

Go to ER: Hard to know, but several emergencies (some examples: stroke, subdural hematoma, intracranial hypertension) start this way.  Emergent evaluation is warranted.

Inflammation?: Sounds like a multi systemic issue. Could be inflammation or something else. Must look for cause. Sometimes food sensitivities can be a factor. Sometimes infection such as lyme. Environmental toxicity also contributes.

Cymbalta (duloxetine) can cause: slurred speech,but in association with low sodium levels,so get your sodium checked by your Dr.

Yes: Depending if acute, or long standing--could be stroke!
but can be medication effect, after head trauma, tumor, etc---need urgent evaluation if acute.
