This is a medication used for a type of seizure (sometimes called petit mal or absence) so do not stop it or adjust the dose until you have talked to your Doctor about your muscle symptoms .

Aspirin : Aspirin is not typically used for children with a fever because it can cause some problems with the liver (reye's syndrome) in rare cases.  Typically, Ibuprofen (advil) or Acetaminophen (tylenol) are used.  Discussing the options with a pharmacist can be helpful, and they can recommend exact dosing based on your childs weight.
