Many causes: Any vision loss should be evaluated by an eye doctor, because the contact lens may be fitting improperly causing corneal swelling or even infection.  Other possibilities include a defective, old, damaged or wrong powered lens. The lens might not be the correct power or type of lens for the eye. For example there might be some uncorrected astigmatism which would be corrected with a toric lens.

i have strabismus in both eyes will i eventually get blind? i already have trouble seeing and one of my eye vision is worst than the other.

Strabismus: is a misalignment of the eyes, sometimes called crossed eyes or lazy eyes.  Please consult an eye doctor. It is not related to blindness and there are exercises and surgeries that can help, perhaps an eye patch.  Please ask your eye doctor about these and get a second opinion if the first one is not helpful.  Peace and good health.

Migraine most likely: The absolutely most common cause for this is migraine. See your physician and get it checked out. Excellent treatment, both preventive and acute (also known as prophylactic and abortive) is available for the vast majority of sufferers. The earlier you  get control, the better off you'll be.

See an eye doctor: Most of the time, flashes of light are related either to floaters (changes to the gel that fills the back of the eye), our less commonly migraines. If the flashes last for more than a day, or if there is a decrease in vision as well, see an eye doctor right away.

Depends: If the non-sighted eye is acutely lost it can take months to up to a year to adapt fully.  If the vision loss was gradual, then you will have already adapted.

Exam: It's difficult to know for sure, but an exam would be most helpful in your case. Subtle grayish spots that move with eye movements are usually vitreous floaters &amp; are seen in the light. You describe that you don't notice this spot in light, but presumably when you turn off the lights. This may represent some subtle changes in the retina or could be just after image which dissipates quickly. Exam.

Floaters: I believe that you have vitreous floaters. They are usually not serious, but if a large amount suddenly appear in a burst, detachment of the retina, a very serious eye emergency, may have occurred. If you still have concerns, have an examination by an ophthalmologist for peace of mind.

Dry eye: When eyes are dry the corneal surface breaks down and becomes pitted. This causes the light to be refracted as it enters the eye, sometimes causing a double image.

Photopsias: Flashing lights (photopsias) in one eye are often caused by retinal pathology or related to migraines.  I would recommend seeing an eye doctor to determine the etiology and initiate appropriate therapy.
