Phantosmia: Smelling something that is not there is phantosmia.  This can come from minor things like sinusitis, to other things like seizures and brain tumors.  This can also occur with migraines.  I would see your doctor and let them check you and do some tests, if they think that is appropriate.

Cimex lectularius: bed bug is a parasite that is nocturnal. It can be transported on your clothing, luggage, second hand furniture etc. You can even get it using public transportation. It can go up to a year without feeding, so that allows it to just sit and wait until it catches a ride on something or someone. If you live in an apartment complex it may move from one unit to another. It is an insidious problem.

Did you touch: anything cold or hot? Has this happened before? Any other numbness or tingling elsewhere? What were you doing when this happened? Is there a color change to the finger tip? Maybe: Muscle injuries like this typically heal with fibrotic tissue ("scar" tissue) and can be susceptible to new injury. I would seek evaluation by an orthopedic specialist to assess the severity of the injury. A hematoma (collection of blood) within the muscle can slow recovery if not treated adequately. Sometimes, an injection in the injured muscle can hasten recovery.
