See below.: Take Protonix (pantoprazole) 30 min before meals.We usually prescribe 81mg of Aspirin along with Plavix , which can be taken at the end of a meal.There could be mild ineractions between Plavix and protonix (pantoprazole).Please check with your md.Prednisone can be taken with meals!

i take plavix 75 mg and aspirin 81mg daily. i have 5 stents ..first one placed in 2004, last one placed in 2018. given that i have 5 stents, is it better for me to still be on and remain on plavix and aspirin for such a period of time, is this normal?

Not always clearcut: The combination is standard but duration of Plavix usage is variable.  Ask your cardiologist of the advice from them

Blood thinners: Lovenox and Coumadin (warfarin) are started together but once Coumadin (warfarin) is therapeutic, Lovenox is stopped. Plavix can be taken with Coumadin (warfarin) or combo of lovenox/coumadin. The risk of bleeding and the use of different anticoagulants and anti platelet drugs should be carefully decided by the physicians and is done on a case by case basis.

my mom ran out of plavix (clopidogrel) and hasn't taken it for 4 days. her neurologist told her to take 4 at one time to make up for it   is this safe?

Maybe necessary: If she is at very high risk of stroke, it would be reasonable to take 4 tabs of Plavix (clopidogrel) to compensate for the missed doses. The risk of bleeding is always there, but it's just a matter of balancing risk/benefit. 300mg of Plavix (clopidogrel) is recommended initially in acute coronary syndrome. So the dose is not unreasonable.

Nose bleeds: Plavix (clopidogrel)  "thins" the blood a constant nose bleed requires an evaluation and you may need to talk to the dr who rxd the plavix (clopidogrel).
