This can be-: -noticed in daily activities. Poor grip, hard to open doors or lift things. The main question is what is causing this. Is it due 2 lack of exercise or is it due 2 degeneration of the nerves supplying the muscles. So the definition is not being able to do common tasks in daily life. Treatment can be surgical release if say the ulnar nerve is trapped @ the elbow (cubital tunnel). Try 2 find the caus

Yes it can: Historically, chronic steroid use including the use of Prednisone is implicated in tendon weakness and rupturesthis is seen more commonly w/injections of cortisone meds. In or around tendons..Check w/ a rheumatologist concerning the risks and side effects of chronic steroid use.Best of luck!

Where in leg?: Sounds like you strained a tendon as u have noted and it has not yet healed.Not sure where in the 'leg' you are describing. "leg" in ortho terms means below your knee... Not the thigh.Be more specific in your location of your pain and i'll venture a guess... Sounds like around your knee and thus could be a knee ligament... Or ankle?

See below: Shoulder muscle weakness with pain can come from a torn rotator cuff or damage/compression to the nerve/s that control shoulder  muscle function.  See your MD for a thorough physical exam.

i lost sensation in my leg 4 days ago below and around my kneecap. affected area slightly larger than the size of a fist. dr did neurological exam which showed diffuse hyperreflexia all tendon groups and weakness in that leg. wants mri. serious?

ALS: Als is a disease of the Alpha motor neuron and is a motor only disease. This means it affects the way muscles work. It can cause twitching in muscles. Buzzing and tingling is inconsistent with als. Consider seeing your primary care provider and possibly a neurologist.

Tendon tear: Your MRI indicates a partial tear of a tendon in your arm that is needed for use of your thumb. Whether this can be managed via splinting and allowing it to heal, or if it would benefit from an operation is something a hand surgeon could advise you -- after a more thorough history and physical examination.

why does my achilles tendon hurt and bother me when i dont exercise and dance but it doesnt hurt when i dance and exercise? its come and go pain and just depends on the day and some days it hurts and other not at all. why is that?

: You are correct ….listen to your body. With your activity you warm up the tendon. With rest it stiffens from injury. But the injury, presently is small enough to heal before next activity. I recommend a stretching and strengthening program. This is a warning if you do nothing. Achilles’ tendons have very poor circulation. You should stretch and ice after activity.

i am worried  that i may have covid 19 or something else thats serious for a while now like at least over a month ive been feeling very congested and weak  the weakness has kind of went away but the congestion is still there with new symptoms ?
