Likely not: If you needed to have Insulin started recently i would suspect your blood sugars have been a little challenging lately.  If that is a true statement then uncontrolled bs's could lead to glucose in the urine which puts you at risk for yeast infections.  Also your immune system is adversely effected which leads to other infections.

See answer : Antivirals, not antibiotics, are used for treating herpes infections. If you are having frequent episodes of symptomatic, bothersome genital herpes (&gt;2 a year), you should consider daily suppressive therapy (acyclovir, valacyclovir, or famciclovir) which has been shown to reduce outbreaks by 80-85%. Usually, stay on for 9 months to 2 years, and then stop and convert back to episodic treatment.

Not necessarily: Swelling in the genital/inguinal area can be a swollen lymph node, which can be from hiv, but it is not necessarilly so, because other diseases can cause that also; when in doubt go see a doctor to evaluate it.

Wait for the reactio: You need to wait for the reaction to subside and consider the consequence when you try to do these things in the future. 

The cream caused a sever irritation to get rid of hair and it is doing what it said it would do.

Prob herpes or yeast: Herpes and yeast are by far the most common causes of such a problem. If redness and swelling of labia plus small sores (like cracks) in the sore area, yeast is likely. If larger sores, herpes is the best bet. New genital herpes often shows up without known risk, e.g. partner with no symptoms and no known herpes. Get expert care e.g. NHS GUM clinic, ASAP for accurate diagnosis &amp; Rx if herpes.

Fungal infection: Sounds like jock itch (tinea cruris). Caused by a fungus and results in red, itchy skin in the groin area that can expand onto the thighs. Most OTC anti-dandruff shampoos like Nizoral have ketoconazole in them that will treat the fungus. This shampoo can be applied in the shower. If this does not clear the infection, follow up with FP doc.
