eye discomfort/ strain/ pain when moving eye side to side ( only in the left eye ) just recovered from covid ( not sure if thats related ) no fever or other symptoms. 2mos ago same happened to my other eye (pain on extreme gaze). worried ?

Retinal lesion: Please see an eye doctor as soon as possible. What you described suggest a tear in the retina and may be retinal detachment. It can be treated, but you need to see eye doctor right away before it gets worse.

It would be important to get an evaluation from an eye doctor in addition to your endocrinologist. Even if the thyroid labs are normal, you can develop thyroid eye disease. Good luck.

Inner ear: A person's sense of where they are in relation to their environment is based on clues from vision, brain, inner ear and foot/hand positions.  When you close your eyes, your inner ear becomes your dominant determinant of your position in space.  This is normal for some people.
