Cat Scratch Disease: I highly doubt this is MRSA- instead it's probably Cat Scratch Disease. Usually this is a self-limited problem that goes away in a week or so, BUT if you have fever, swollen lymph nodes, worsening rash, or other major symptoms then see a doc right away. Since you're a keloid former -I would also recommend to reduce any chances for skin damage, as more keloids could form. Maybe get cat declawed??

In most instances penicillin and cephalosporin type antibiotics will not kill mrsa.  There are other antibiotics that will work, and it would be best to discuss the infection with your doc or a clinic.
