Bite is not right: A malocclusion means that your teeth arent fitting right together when you bite.  Teeth are supposed to fit a certain way and you are supposed to bite on certain areas of your tooth (after you get a filling done, the dentist makes you bite on a blue piece of paper- that is what they are checking). Some ways malocclusions can be fixed is by braces or an occlusal adjustment.

How it looks can vary depending on what the cause is and whether it is related to tooth size or jaw size. Some malocclusion can be corrected by having restorative work done alone or in combo w/ ortho.

Bad bites : A class i maloclussion means that your bite on the sides lines up correctly. So you have a good bite with crowded teeth most likely. Teeth that are straight are easier to keep clean. If your teeth are crowded then you may be more prone to periodontal disease which can eventually lead to tooth loss. The best defense as with any disease is prevention just like diabetes.
