New medication, TTYD: According to Gilead (maker of Solvadi), in their POSITRON trial, 61% of all pts with Type 3 HepC had a sustained virologic response (SVR) (lower Hep C virus blood counts) at 24 wks. See the package insert (PI) approved by the FDA: https://www.gilead.com/~/media/Files/pdfs/medicines/liver-disease/sovaldi/sovaldi_pi.pdf. In the trial, those w/o cirrhosis were 68% likely to have SVR. TTYD about this.

i had hep c geno type 2 have ben cured but now my t bili is -0.2 i also have small tare in colon??

Normal: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, your bilirubin is normal. The tear in the colon is unrelated and needs to be evaluated.

See doc: See GI or infectious disease doc who treats hcv. There are new tx being developed all the time. Be careful not to fall on abdomen: might rupture spleen, a surgical emergency.

Subtype of hep C: Genotype 1a is one of many subtypes of hep c virus.  It is a little bit more resistant to therapy but new meds that have been approved have resulted in excellent viral response.  The newer agents in the family of protease inhibitors along with traditional usage of peginterferon and ribivarin have resulted in some very good outcomes for patients with this subtype.  Discuss this with your GI doc.

You sound: Overwhelmed and need support.  Please see a mental health professional for treatment for panic disorder.  There is a lot that can be offered to help you. Yes: You can share drinks. Hep c virus gets transmitted via blood and blood products .

Are U on treatment?: My answer changes a bit whether you are on or off anti-viral treatment, and to what extent you have liver disease (portal hypertension?).  Regardless, black or very dark colored diarrhea suggests bleeding from the upper GI tract and warrants urgent evaluation. Please curtail Aspirin or NSAID use & contact your doctor immediately for advice.

i have a ua with my po in three days. have hep c, taking clindamycine, will that help with cleaning out my system?  or could provide a false positive?

It depends: on which type of test is done.  Sometimes clindamycin will cause a positive(false), but the secondary testing clears that up.  The hep C can slow breakdown of all sorts of chemicals

Wait and see.: Not sure i understand the predicament.  Sounds like you have had a screening antibody test for hcv which was positive and are awaiting results of a confirmatory test, the hcv pcr.  Your liver seems completely normal by lab work.  There is nothing to be done until results of confirmatory testing are available.

B-thalassemia-hep: First of all I am sorry about  your daughter's condition. As you know, unfortunately there is nothing to cure beta thal major -besides an allogeneic  bone marrow transplantation. Now, with the hepatitis c- the situation will be way tougher for your daughter to deal with. She definitely needs to be seen by a hepatologist and see if she is able to get any therapy for hep c- if she can tolerate it.
