Oxygen carrying: Capacity.  Hematocrit refers to the volume of red cells in blood.  A hct of 40 means that 40% of the blood volume is made up by red cells. Hct is usually three time the level of hemoglobin.

: Hb is in normal range for female and Hct is on the low side of normal range (some laboratories put 35 at the lowest limit)
As a rule of thumb, Hct = Hb x 3 so in this case Hct should be 38.4 but lab results are usually varied.
Female with Hb of 12.8 is not anemic.
For a better assessment we need to know total red blood cell count, the values of MCV, MCH and RDW.

bp was avge as low 95/60. stopped ben/hct @ am. kept spiro 25 mg @ pm. bp went great for 17 days. then spike little. now avge 135/85-90.any thoughts.?

Add back: Hi. I think your BP will be better for you in the long run being lower than it is now (studies have shown that). I would add back the Benicar/Hct. If its previous dose was too high, a lower dose could be used. Good luck!

ARB: Telmisaren is an angiotensin receptor blocker (arb) and hct is a thiazide diuretic (water pill) that controls blood pressure. Neither should interfere with the prostate (but the hct will make you need to go to the bathroom more often, which can be difficult if you have a prostate problem).
