Cortisone urinary fr: In some people who are prediabetics high doses of cortisone can cause diabetes and that can cause polyurea and in return may cause night time frequency.But it is not a direct effect of cortisone and is not so common.

Possible: Cortisone treatments can cause increased blood glucose levels which will cause increased urination and thirst.

Yes: Any drink will do. Increased fluid intake always causes increased fluid excretion. In practical terms, reduce your salt consumption and your fluid intake close to bedtime.

Urinalysis and exam: Keep a diary of your urination pattern and visit your primary care doctor for a general check up to rule out diabetes and to check for urinary tract infections or other causes of frequent urination.  Also reduce the amount your drinking prior to going to bed.

May be/ may be not: UTI needs to be ruled out.
 Do you drink lots of water towards the later part of the day? Try to limit water intake 3 hours before Bed time,
High Blood sugar and High Calcium level scan cause frequent urination but not limited to night time.
 If continues get examined.

Unclear problem: Unfortunately, there is no "antidiuretic" medication. The main thing is to find out how much urination you actually have at night and then work from there to find out why. Initially, you may need to be seen by a urologist. Then the treatment can be catered to your problem. You should also avoid all "natural" meds, as those can cause an interstitial nephritis and increased urination.

Probably unrelated: It would be helpful to know what STD you had. The only ones likely to cause urinary symptoms are gonorrhea and chlamydia, but even these wouldn't cause night time urination as the only symptom. If you have painful or urgent urination, or vaginal discharge, see your doctor. Otherwise I doubt this is related to your infection 1-2 months ago.

Discuss with your Dr: Or a geriatrician. U might be a candidate for medication which will relax bladder muscle such as oxybutinin er, Detrol or vesicare (solifenacin). Such meds allow bladder to hold more urine and can reduce or eminate need to urinate at night. Your dr is best person to advise because of your various medical problems & medications.

is a cystoscope and prostate ultrasound routine to examine bladder/prostate for problems with nighttime urination and daytime weak flow ? i have bph but normal psa. have had digital exam yearly ?
