: You should be conservatively managed first with hormonal therapy. There is no indication for hysterectomy in EH without atypia at this point. You may request a second opinion.

Yes: Simple endometrial hyperplasia without atypia  should respond to cyclic progesterone.

Accepted Answer

Yes: With that diagnosis there is a 30% chance they are wrong and you actually have cancer. So normally you would take that medicine every single day for 3 months then repeat a hysteroscopy with d;c to make sure there is no sign of cancer or pre-cancer. Very serious issue.

No: In a young person this simply means a thickened lining (common in pcos).  The only way to diagnose hyperplasia is with an endometrial biopsy or D and C

```EM thickness: US is one way to look at the interior of the uterus, the endometrial lining. If it appears thickened, it can be due to both physiologic or pathologic growth. In patients over 40, pre-neoplastic or neoplastic hyperplasia becomes more likely, but other things may also be present like polyps. Usually a biopsy or curettage would be needed to sort this out.

Endometrial: hyperplasia occurs when the endometrium, the lining of the uterus, becomes too thick. It is not cancer, but in some cases, it can lead to cancer of the uterus.It most often is caused by excess estrogen without progesterone. If ovulation does not occur, progesterone is not made, and the lining is not shed. It usually occurs after menopause, when ovulation stops and progesterone is no longer made.

: Endometrial hyperplasia is an increase development of endometrial glands that can be categorized as "with or without atypia". In other words, EH "without atypia" is non-cancerous, and "with atypia" is associated with risk and progression to endometrial carcinoma. Diagnosis can be made with endometrial biopsy, dilation and curettage, or hysterectomy specimen.

Endometriosis ?'s: Endometriosis is the growth of endometrial cells at locations other than in the uterus, causing pain/discomfort during a menstruation.  Endometrial hyperplasia is thickening of the uterine lining, caused usually by a failure of ovulation, as with PCOS or non-ovulatory cycles.
