Fullness: Topamax is known to have side effects of nausea, dysphagia - discomfort in esophagus, and some lose weight on this drug. I am not aware of that specific side effect, but perhaps you are feeling this fullness as the combination of these side effects.

Doctor can examine: Many things are in the upper abdomen:  stomach, pancreas, liver, small intestine, gall bladder, large intestine, abdominal muscles, etc...  An exam by a primary care doctor canbe helpful. The stomach itself and the spleen are in the left upper abdomen. Discomfort in the right upper abdomen, plus symptoms that occur after meals, may be due to gallstones or other gall bladder disease.

Marked associated abdominal tenderness would favor the latter and would warrant an examination by a physician or surgeon as soon as possible. A gynecologist could evaluate you for pelvic problems. For severe discomfort go to the hospital emergency room.

i have a giant liver hemangioma (9cm) that has been growing since 2005. its now causing symptoms (feeling of fullness, slight nausea). is surgery the only treatment option? what is your opinion on embolization or ablation for large liver hemangioma?

: Although ablation with embolization may be possible, with the size of the hemangioma noted, it may not succeed.  A consult with an experienced general surgeon should provide guidance, if the symptoms related in your question are truly secondary to the hemangioma.

: Those sounds are usually caused by varying pressures in the middle ear from the eustachian tubes opening or closing. Swallowing, chewing,yawning all cause crackling sounds to appear or disappear.
