hello i'm 38 weeks pregnant my wrist and top of feet have been itching  i've heardfrom couple of my friends that it can be cholestasis no gallbladder?

ultrasound said gall bladder,liver,spleen normal. few tiny foci 6mm in gall bladder. should i be concerned about cholestasis? will stones get bigger?

Gallstone ? disease: Stones in the gallbladder (gb) seldom cause symptoms unless they migrate into the neck of the gb (&amp;block exit of bile) or into the common bile duct. Symptomless gallstones may be diagnosed by chance by imaging or during investigation for some other condition. Only 10% become symptomatic within 5 years of detection. Ultrasound, ct scan, mrcp finds stones; cck-hida scan can tell if gb is diseased.

Coding error?: I agree. Sounds like the more appropriate ICD-10 code for your finding was K80.20 = Calculus of gallbladder w/o cholecystitis w/o obstruction. Perhaps your provider has however other data that supports a diagnosis of cholestasis (K71.0, K83.1).

Probably doesn't: Chronic stress is very common.  So is gallbladder disease.  But they are not related.

: Depends on the solubility of your bile. Rarely studied.  Review your family history of Gall bladder disorders and discuss with local Drs who know more about this in folks like you who live where you live.

Classic symptoms: Are epigastric and right upper quadrant abdominal pain, starting two or three hours after a heavy or fatty meal, with radiation to right shoulder blade, lasting six to eight hours, in a forty year old plump woman with multiple births.  But hardly anyone has all, or even any, of the the classic symptoms.

Not really.: Sleep loss is not known to cause liver disease or cholestasis. On the contrary, however, severe cholestasis can result in sleep loss, if the itching from the cholestasis makes it difficult to sleep.

Yes, it is often so.: Gallbladder basically is a small bile-storage bag which gets squeezed on demand--i.E when you eat, especially with high fat, the gallbladder squeezes harder to get the bile into the gut to help digest the fat. So if you have a small stone partially/completely blocking the tube/duct, the squeeze causes pain. Thus, fatty foods often make the pain worse. If you have recurring pain, consult doc. Gl.

had two normal poops little constipated then later had loose mushy stool. i do have chronic gastritis had endoscopy last week with all biopsys benign. having gallbladder test on my request not dr request. could the stools be gastritis or gallbladde?

: More likely diet and hydration related, very common for changes in stool character depending on your diet and eating habits. Doubt gallbladder or biliary tree issues without any pain or other symptoms

Gallbladder: Do you have gallstones? Gallbladder obstruction from gallstones would usually cause significant right upper abdominal pain with nausea ; vomiting. Shoulder pain would only expected to be a minor issue. Severe diarrhea also not likely due to gallbladder but could be a result of antibiotics you have taken. Reduced triglycerides also more dietary related ; not expected to be due to the gallbladder.
