Depends...: If by 'cfs' you mean chronic fatigue syndrome then it depends on how motivated you are to be 'cured'.  You have to eat right, drink plenty of water; and above all else, exercise!  whether if is a walk, swim, yoga, bicycle the only patients i know who beat cfs do as much of the above as they can...But it does take time so do not give up hope...You can do it!

Probably not: Unlike many other physicians, i believe that chronic fatigue syndrome is real, and an immune disturbance due to some unknown virus or viruses.  However, if people were dying of it, we'd almost certainly recognize some characteristic lesion.  If you have cfs, good luck -- it generally remits after a while, and low-dose antidepressants and/or simply practicing new life skills seems to help some.

Use of either supplements or medications to help improve the quality of sleep, energy and reduce pain, gradually increasing exercise, cognitive behavioral therapy, all can help.

Variously: Children are not a common population subtype to develop chronic fatigue syndrome, but i assume they are prone just as adults. Mental health - depression, slowiness, academic worsening may all be present.
