This happens when a lot of hair enter the final part of its cycle at once and falls off. However that hair is already being replaced and the net result will be a return to normal once levels stabilizes. A few patients may have a more localized form of hair loss (alopecia areata).

Maybe ;): The thyroid hormone medicine should not affect your hair directly. However, if your dosage is low, it can indeed affect your hair, as well as cause many other symptoms.  If you are having such a problem, some lab tests with your primary doctor should help identify the problem.  If you are taking thyroid hormone, you should have your levels checked at least yearly.

Thyroid: Those thyroid numbers do not make sense to me. The TSH is high and usually the T3 (liothyronine) and T4 are low causing the TSH to work hard to get your thyroid working properly.

Call your doctor to see if those numbers are correct. If he says yes ask for a referral to an Endocrinologist.

Hypothyroidism: Your dose of medication is not titrated by your pulse or temperature. Blood work is needed to see if you're on the correct dose.
