Most often, yes: With rapid changes with of thyroid levels (especially from high to normal), paople may experience "telogen effluvium). This happens when a lot of hair enter the final part of its cycle at once and falls off. However that hair is already being replaced and the net result will be a return to normal once levels stabilizes. A few patients may have a more localized form of hair loss (alopecia areata).
