"Late period" ?'s: With regular period history, and if pregnancy is possible, cramps may indicate early pregnancy. Wait a week more, and if your cycle does not start, obtain a serum HCG test to be certain. If pain persists, and is more severe with bleeding, a pregnancy outside the uterus (ectopic), so see your gyn physician immediately for diagnosis and treatment.

At your age: You can have an endometrial ablation, I do those in office to get rid of the endometrial tissue so , no more periods or cramps takes 8 minutes my office, you could also take low dose bc pills i rec loloestrin, or a med called Lysteda on your periods, or meds like Motrin or anaprox (naproxen) ds so you need to see your gyn to see what will be best for you.

Hard to be definite.: This could be a polyp. Are you taking any bcp's?  It could even be a menstrual abortion. If heavy bleeding continues, see you ob/gun or health provider.

Yes: You need to be evaluated for the cause of the pain (endometriosis, etc) and not just treat the symptoms.

Dysmenorrhea: It seems you have menstrual cramps also known as dysmenorrhea.It can be successfully treated in most cases with meds like ibuprofen, Naproxen or over the counter midol.You should however check it with your family doctor or gynecologist.

Late period?: You may simply be a few days late for your period. If you don't start your period in 1 week I suggest you take a pregnancy test. If your are not pregnant please consider some form of contraception. Talk to your doctor. Also remember to use a condom to decrease your chances for a vaginal infection.

Menstrual cramps ?'s: A "late onset" of your period may be secondary to temporary blockage of normal bleeding due to clot formation which blocks the passage of blood until the clot is dissolved, followed by a sudden rush of blood.  If pregnancy is possible, get a serum HCG test to be certain about pregnancy, especially of pregnancy outside the uterus (ectopic), which needs immediate attention.

Yes: and can be many other things. key point is people ovulate pretty regularly. If they get teh same symptoms at the same time monthly then likely cycles/ovulation/etc if not every month then not that.
