If you have gout you should be on Allopurinol to normalize your uric acid levels and prevent future attacks. If there is no gout, you do not have to treat the uric acid level.

Depends upon symptom: If you have no symptoms I am not sure you should do anything to change your uric acid levels.  If on the other hand you have gout i would certainly consider avoiding certain foods that are high in purines, a "gout diet"  google that.

Red meat, etc.: The main foods to avoid or consume less of include red meat and seafood, also less dairy foods and milk, and foods with high fructose content.  Increased vitamin c intake (foods with high vit c content) also helps, as does avoiding alcoholic beverages, which can dehydrate the body and thus increase the chance of a gouty attack.  Losing weight also lowers the risk of a gouty attack and uric acid.

Reduce the Purines: Avoid or severely limit the intake of food that are high in purines like animal products like organ meats, anchovies, beef, pork lamb, tuna, shrimp, lobster and scallops, limit or avoid alcohol especially beer, avoid or limit intake of foods sweetened with fructose corn syrup.  Drink more fluids, eat more complex carbs, low fat dairy products, more of natural juices, eat more plant-based proteins.
