If you received a diagnosis at a specific facility and got previously treated with steroids would suggest starting with them, as steroids are also drugs of abuse.

Costochondritis: If you have a definite tender area at the rib and sternum junction,apply warm applications,pat dry and apply ligament like bengay. Avoid stressing the rib cage from stretching,lifting,etc. While on prednisone you can take Tylenol (acetaminophen) but you should not take nsaids like Aleve which I found more effective than oral prednisone. Injection of lidocaine and steroids into the area may help. ?Rheumatologist

Recovery time: The CRP and ESR are just general markers for inflammation and may not reflect local inflammation.  In addition, even if the inflammation has stopped, the damaged tissue needs time to heal.

Systemic lupus ?: This sounds like systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), although other connective tissue diseases could cause similar symptoms and lab results.  Hopelessness is a common symptom of depression, but is also common in almost any illness when patients feel that they aren't doing well.  You should see a rheumatologist if you haven't already.

Not really: Lleurisy causes pain on deep breathing in the chest, and not related to food, it may be esophageal reflux and try acid suppression therapy with ranitidine or omeprazole, if does not help see your doctor.

Possibly: But it sounds more like you have esophagitis inflammation of the tube that carries food to your stomach
pleurisy generally would cause chest pain with cough and deep breathing . check with your doctor but you could try and acid blocker like prevacid (lansoprazole)

Seek medical help: Your symptoms could be secondary to using mobic (meloxicam). But if you have symptoms that have been going on for several months, you should be evaluated by your physician to make sure there is not anything else going on. I would suggest quitting smoking as this will not help with your bronchitis and respiratory infections.

Chest lung: Interface chest and lung. It is somewhat dry and painful. The movements should be smooth but are "rubbery" which makes it painful.
