i was hitting a volleyball very hard for a long time. my fingers were swollen afterward.would it shorten the length of my fingers if i constant do it?

Accepted Answer

NO: you will not "shorten" your fingers!

You might speak with your coach about modifying your game to spread that force from your fingers to the hand itself and upper wrists!

: Must have pulled a muscle or torn it’s insertion.  Keep a detailed pain diary and share with your team and ask for a proper exam. Read about elbow musculoskeletal anatomy at Wikipedia.  Knowledge is power.

i havemild pain in my shoulder, but only during certain motions, like extending my arm out palm up and hitting a volleyball. do i need a contrast mri?

Not Yet.: It seems you have bursitis of your shoulder. Before you jump the gun to getting an mri, first try to see a doctor and start using some anti-inflammatory medications (i.E: ibuprofen) and some physical therapy. If no improvements in few weeks , then an MRI may be warranted.

Hard to know: Some might do this as an attention getting maneuver. Some might do this because an ear hurts on one side. However, the post is too vague on what/when/how this is occurring to interpret the issue.

Unlikely concern: Your Granulocyte numbers are slightly high . This can happen due to infections. You should give us the complete report of your CBC in order to give a more clear picture. If the WBC count is &gt;10,00 and you have no fever or recent infections, then I would be concerned and ask you to repeat your blood counts(CBC) and make sure that there is no further increase in your WBC counts.

my tfcc injury from hitting a heavy bag did not heal after 3 moths of immobilization. what does it mean?

May need surgery: It would seem somewhat unlikely that if your injury has not healed after 12 weeks of immobilization, that it would respond to further immobilization.  You should discuss with your doctor, but surgery may be a consideration at this point.

if you only get a headache from hitting your head on something, does that mean its probably not a concussion?

Not a concussion: If headache is the only symptom and there is no additional symptoms like dizziness, nausea, vomiting coma loss of consciousness, or weakness of arms or legs with in first 48 hrs., then it is not a concussion.

A confusing: Report.could be very low but no negative number for a t cell population

Lymphocyte count: Your Lymphocyte count is Absolutely normal, low lymphocyte count is less then 1.0,
