Knee pain has many etiologies, the main ones to consider when there is medial pain are:  medial meniscus tear, medial arthritis, and medial collateral ligament (MCL) sprain. Your doc will do an exam of the knee to delineate potential causes and as needed get XR and MRI.

"inner" (medically termed 'medial') thigh pain usually indicates an adductor muscle strain, or tenderness where the muscles insert on to the bone. The most common cause is an overuse injury, like bicycling too hard too long, etc. Other causes could include a hernia, a blood clot, a stress fracture of the pelvic bone, etc.
