Chance of cancer very low unless you have a high familial risk or certain syndromes. Definitely follow with your Gyne to ensure it behaves like a benign cyst

Stage 4 Cancer: Not necessarily, but it does suggest at least inter abdominal spread, if not metastatic disease to the liver. An imaging study of the liver and abdomen can tell where it has spread.

: It’s a solitary blood filled fluid cyst that requires no follow up because of its size, malignant ovarian cancer usually present as solid tumors, NOT fluid-filled cysts, would need a biopsy to determine carcinogenic potential

Not curable: Typically when someone refers to end stage they are describing a case that is not curable.  Most of the time these are patients who have developed disease that has spread to parts of the body outside of where the cancer originally developed (i.e. Metastasis).

: No, that would be exceedingly unusual. By definition, a cyst is filled with fluid and a simple cyst has no features that make it suspicious. Cysts come and go normally with your cycles and typically represent eggs at some stage towards ovulation. If a simple cyst persists over several cycles, continues to grow, or becomes symptomatic , it might need further management but cancer is still unlikely.

It's cancer: However, it's unlikely to harm you. Different physicians may sugar-coat or say "barely cancer" or "not really cancer" but the bottom line is that I'm glad it's out or there's a fair chance it would have killed you. Read online about the statistics but if you were assured, "no spread", you've got 95%+ of it not killing you.

: Ovarian cysts are common, can last for months and go up and down in size. Very unlikely to be cancerous.
