Varies: With the organism causing the syndrome.  In some the damage is by toxins to the mucosa and alteration of the secretory capacity of cells.  In others there is invasion and damage to the surface cells of the colon, and in some there may be involvement of the lymphatics and may get into the bloodstream.

Benign: Many women especially your age and a little older have some cystic glandular hyperplasia. The key is that it is benign and you are not really at a greater risk for cancer. Your gynecologist can tell you if there is anything else you need to do. Be thankful and stay proactive with regard to your health.

No cancer: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, no cancer was seen in the tissue. There were more glands than usual, but is not a serious issue.

question from endoscopy results, for my stomach biopsy, the report said - gastric mucosa with no histopathologic abnormality is this gastritis?

: If microscopic exam by clinical pathologist is negative for "histopathologic abnormality" , either an area of gastritis was not biopsied, or gastritis does not exist.  Ask your GI physician for medication for suppression of gastic acid production as a trial, or if symptoms persist, it may indicate need for repeat endoscopy.

Favorable: It means the endometrium has been affected by Progesterone and is ready for implantation of a fertilized egg, or zygote.

: No ischemia or in other words the test was not accompanied by changes on the ecg that suggest ischemia, a negative test.

Accepted Answer

Susceptibility: artifact is an expected MRI finding if there is a prosthesis or other metallic foreign body present.  It is not an abnormality itself, but a distortion of the image due to the interaction of the metal with the magnetic field, and therefore could obscure an abnormality. A hip effusion is fluid within the hip joint space and generally indicates an inflammatory process.

abnormal treadmill stress electrocardiogram at 9.1 mets, but not associated with significant echocardiographic changes.  what does this mean?

Stress echo: When ECG changes are not associated with echo wall motion abnormalities, there is a good chance the ECG changes are not related to ischemia.

ekg read that i had a normal sinus rhythm and incomplete right branch block. it goes on to say no significant change was found from last ekg a year ago. what does that mean and is there any reason for concern?
