Twitching: If twitching is very frequent and marked, there could be a deficiency of magnesium,calcium or potassium causing abnormal muscular irritability. Discuss this with your physician who can order the appropriate tests and/or refer you to a neurologist if deemed advisable.

Muscle tone: Twitching in the muscles is pretty common. Typical causes are stress that can increase muscle sensitivity.  When muscles are exposed to different conditions like from medications or electrolye or hormonal issues they tend to become hyperexcitable. Ever get twitches in the calf muscle after excersize?  The muscles are in a higher state of contraction.

Gluteal,irritation: The gluteal muscles sound over stressed, so,that when you off weight,,they twitch. Are you exercising too hard? Suggest hamstring and gluteal stretching, electrolytes, and record where glut activity is unusual, so can change that irritating activity

i keep getting large muscle spasms right below my buttock on my right leg and top of the back of my thigh. it twitches strongly. what is the cause?

Muscle twitches: need to be checked out w/your doc to rule out medical conditions.  After that consider asking him/her about taking magnesium as a supplement.  Magnesium is often low when muscle twitches are a symptom.  He/she can measure it via a lab test. Peace and good health.

took amitriptyline 5 days. toe joint is swollen. skin twitches few secs on leg/feet/buttock. 1 time chest pain for 2 secs. is it side effects/allergy?

Possible: It is certainly possible and thus stopping the drug for 1-2 weeks would be the prudent approach especially when the drug is not a life-sustaining one.  If the problem does not go away or improve significantly after 2 wks, will have to look for other reasons.
