: Why were you getting your kidneys measured? This may just be a discrepancy between radiology reads. Ultrasound isn’t perfect for visualizing organs. I don’t know what you’re referring to regarding the fluid. Where is this located? Why are you even getting imaging? More context is required, so talk with the doc who ordered the image.

Can't say for sure.: Your question is too non-specific. Exactly what did the report say? In what, "system" was the fluid? If you mean the renal collecting system then excess fluid could reflect kidney obstruction or infection. That's just one possible answer.

Correlate blood test: Increased cortical echogenicity with mild corticomedullary differentiation,  usually means medical renal disease. Kft probably means kidney function tests. These are blood tests such as serum creatinine, bun, and GFR (glomerular filtration rate).

Cyst: You have a solitary kidney cyst. Usually these fluid filled structures require no treatment unless they cause symptoms or interfere with kidney function. A urologist can advise you if you prefer.

i am 22 weeks months carrying. during ultrasound scan. report show  baby's kidneys have mild pyelectasia measuring 4to 5 mm. pls explain what it means?

Usually nothing: It means that there is a little urine trapped in the kidney. It has a very low association with downs syndrome. You should get a second trimester screening test but i wouldn't be worried. You should also get a followup scan in 3rd trimester to make sure the kidneys look okay but the vast majority of the time, they are. I would not lose any sleep of this! good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.

I : I have heard this term used with fetal ultrasounds - (pyelectasis) which means that there can be dilation of the central part of the kidney.  I will change this from unspecified specialty to diagostic radiologist, to get a better chance of getting exact info. I suggest that you ask your doctor what he specifically meant whe using the term "full kidney".

See below: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, what you described is not abnormal.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. 
Get HPV vaccine

Sometimes normal: variations in the anatomy of the kidney can mimic a mass on ultrasound, and it is difficult to make a reliable determination.  When  this is the case, another study like CT or MRI can easily sort it out.  These usually turn out to be normal variations.

i have the kyleena iud and i have been having a lot of cramping and lower back pain, painful sex for the last few weeks i had an ultrasound and it shows fluid all around the iud but all swabs negative for infection what can cause this?

: Your description suggeste the causation to be the IUD and you may discuss this and possible removal with the doc who put it in.
