No: Vomiting is not a typical symptom of sleep apnea. The gasping or choking sensation that's mentioned is from air hunger and not from anything that has to do with your stomach.  You should talk to your doctor about throwing up at night and find the reason why.  Sleep apnea symptoms include snoring, dry mouth, urinating at night frequently, morning headaches, unrefreshing sleep & daytime sleepiness.

Gasping: The most likely cause of waking up choking and gasping for air is obstructive sleep apnea. See a doctor for examination and possible sleep study!

Choking: This is called aspiration, when one chokes on their own saliva
it can happen but ii it is too frequent need to be checked out.
Excessive drinking and sleeping and sleeping with food or candy in the mouth etc to be avoided.

Noses bleed sometime: Nosebleeds can be due to many things that cause one of the little veins on the inside of the nose (usually the middle septum) to crack and leak temporarily. Heavy breathing in sports, hot air, cold air, allergies, nose-picking, colds, etc... are some of the causes of nosebleeds. He who bleeds "too often" or "too long" can have his blood checked to see if his blood is clotting too slowly.

Sounds like GERD: You are on Omeprazole for heartburn. It is clear that this is inadequate for your symptoms. The symptoms you describe above are all associated with gerd. See your doctor: See your doctor for an evaluation of your gerd and for treatment recommendations. Untreated gerd can cause many problems including esophagitis, cancer, barrett.S esophagus, asthma, sinusitis, aspiration pneumonia and laryngitis and more. For now you can purchase over the counter zantac (ranitidine) and take 300 mg at bedtime.If awakened with it take 2  tablespoonful upon awakening. Also, stop smoking!

Multiple reasons: There are many possibilities but one common cause of your symptoms is a condition called "post nasal drip".  Basically secretions from your nasal cavity run down your throat while sleeping.  Sometimes, anti-histamine medications can help. 

Other conditions such as gastroeshophageal reflux and ashtma can also present like this.  Speak with your doctor for a proper history.

bad gerd, i wake up choking on my stomach acid &, burning my throat, the acid gets in my lungs. what can i do when this happens? i take pepcid (famotidine) at bed

Take precautions: Prevent  , regurgitation .  Your supper eat light , do not go to bed immediately after eating  give  3 to 4 hr gap . When you sleep do  not lie flat , use  2 pillows , do not  drink or smoke before bed time, take your medications in few is intractable may need anti-reflux  procedure . Speak to your  doctor.
