Gut flora: Depending on the diet, individuals may experience periods of gassiness where imbalanced gut flora are producing more gas due to increased fiber or other undigestibles. Remember, the abdomen includes many organ systems (gi tract, liver/biliary/pancreas, renal/urologic, gynecologic, vascular, etc.)--any one of which can cause your symptoms.

Hard to know, but...: The GI tract has a very limited # of symptoms to signal its distress--nausea/vomiting, diarrhea/constipation, bloating, pain, fullness, bleeding, etc. As you know, many of these characterize ibs, but are also seen with inflammatory, infectious, ischemic, malabsorptive, and functional disorders. You sound concerned, &amp; should be evaluated for reassurance &amp; appropriate treatment if needed.

Possible hernia?: If the pain is made worse with movement it is likely a muscle strain and may be relieved with advil (ibuprofen) or motrin. If this doesnt help it may be something more serious like a hernia and you should be examined by your doctor.

When u drink a lot o: When u drink a lot of water you expand the stomach which either results in vomiting or abdominal pain. The stomach can expand so much before you start experiencing  these symptoms. You have to consume liquids more slowly.
