Not sure: You could have a cyst on the right ovary. Or if you've ever had abdominal surgery, there's a chance you have adhesions, or scar tissue, on that side and that can cause pain. But more likely, the pain is from something else on the right, like a muscle that's strained. A gyn doctor might be able to sort that out!

The best time to take one is when you miss your period.

Pelvic pain requires and examination to help organize the evaluation. Consider a gastroenterologist to address your nausea.

Need Exam: You need an exam, it may be an ovarian cyst or even endometriosis. Usually if we can reproduce the pain on exam, we can narrow down the possibilities. Laparoscopy is recommended if a diagnosis is difficult to make, a pelvic ultrasound is also very helpful.  See your doc or gyn if your pain persists.  Take good care of yourself.

Too soon to tell: It would be too soon to tell if you are pregnant or not- although the discomfort you are feeling is not likely due to that- since you just had sex today--what is more likely is that you are feeling the discomfort of ovulation.   There are also possibilities like a twisted ovary-  so if pain doesnt go away- then  you should go see the doctor.
