Fibrotic lungs: Any process that decreases air in the lungs. This includes pulm fibrosis  , tumors that desrroy alveoli, some severe pneumonias with hepatization of the lung. Pneumoconioses also cause hard lungs.

Perhaps movement?: MRI imaging is susceptible to a variety of artifacts.  Movement is a one reason for poor quality imaging.  Since MRI images take time to generate, often  longer than one can hold their breath.  So imaging anything near the lungs can difficult since there is movement with normal quiet breathing.

Not if always there: Pectus excavatum is the most common congenital deformity of the anterior chest wall, in which several ribs and the sternum grow abnormally. It produces a caved-in or sunken appearance of the chest and can either be present at birth or not develop until puberty. The defect is usually cosmetic, but may cause cardiac or respiratory impairment if severe enough.

if my chest hurts after a hard practice does that mean my heart is bad?

Accepted Answer

No: You may just be having some muscle soreness subsequent 
to exercise
if the symptoms involve any arm symptoms or have a cardiac history you migh need a cardiac evaluation.

lump in chest but i'm not sure if its a cyst or not, 2 inches below clavicle.it sometimes disappears a little. i mean its hard to recognize at times. ?

Some possibilities: Could be an enlarged gland, which in turn could be related to infection or cancer; cancerous gland enlargement (in general) tends to grow more slowly and be less painful than infection-related gland enlargement.  Could also be a localized fatty tumor, and could be many other things.  Best to see MD, and take pics of the lump at times when it looks different; bring pics with you.

what does it mean when you have a shortness of breath and it's hard to breath? ok, my chest feels heavy and it's kinda hard to breath it first started yesterday with weeziing a few hours after i went swimming.

Hello. : Hello. I can't diagnose your symptoms.  However, if you have been exercising and develop chest tightness and wheezing, you could have some exercise induced reactive airway disease. If you have a little cold or virus, this could also be the cause. It sounds like a one time occurence. However, if this continues, you should see your doctor to ensure that you don't have asthma. Now if you are an older person and you have chest heaviness and difficulty breathing, than you could be having a cardiac event. 
   Your wheezing suggest lung issues but i also included some heart attack info. (chest pain, tightness, squeezing or fullness is the most common presentation.  However the pain can also present in the upper back, the upper middle abdomen, jaw, head, teeth or in the arms (left more than right).  One could have nausea, vomiting or it could feel like indigestion or heartburn.  Feeling short of breath, sweating and just feeling out of sorts can also occur. About a fourth of people have no significant symptoms during a heart attack.) take care.

NO, not always: Few things in medicine are "always" anything. Some benign tumors can be hard and fixed. Obviously it is important to get this further evaluated and you may not know what it is for sure until it is excised. Try not to worry too much as there is a reasonable chance it is not malignant.

Get seen: You're having hypertensive encephalopathy until proven otherwise. You could just be under stress. There are a variety of other possibilities. Have your personal physician see you now

Difficult to answer: Depends on what setting. Acute repiratory distress syndrome can be 'stiff lungs' this means the elastic function of the lung is compromised for some illness.  People are on life support with this.  There are very rare diseases that can cause this as well. Need to know the clinical situation.
