is it normal to get the same index for anti hiv test results (cmia)? i took 6 cmia tests from day 97 to day 206 since my last exposure (unprotected oral sex from female sex worker with unknown hiv status). the 2nd, 4th, & 6th test index were 0,21?

: Any and all index values below the value for a positive result are equally negative. The actual number may or may not vary from test to test.

i am in watch and wait status with cll. all of my test results, including red blood cells and platelets, are normal with the exception of lymphocytes which fluctuate between 22 and 26. i do not have any symptoms. do you agree with my watch and wait?

: The best doctor to answer this is your oncologist, who knows your situation the best. If you are unsure, perhaps get a second opinion form another oncologist who can look at all your test results, not just the current ones. Trends in your bloodwork are very important as well. How long have you been diagnosed? There are many factors that influence the treatment decisions. Good luck!

Unclear question: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, F,S and Z are types of alpha 1 antitrypsin. If the total level of the protein is normal, you do not need to worry about these types.

Gluten  related  foo: Antigiadin  test  mostly  not  always  positive  so  one  should  avoid  wheat  rye  oat  barley  and  any  thing  which has  gluten  before  test  if  you  were  taking  gluten so  gut  is  inflamed  and  malabsorption  had  been  going  on,  for  all nutrients  and  vitamins.

Not really positive: A false positive test is when the test is really negative but was reported or converted to positive but is not a true indicator for the result.

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily: The ANA is a screening test for lupus but is not specific. It can be positive in numerous other diseases and in normal people. It has to be evaluated in the context of the clinical picture and the results of other autoantibody tests.

Need more info: What test? If you mean a urine drug test for substances of abuse, that would mean the substances that were tested for were not detected and you cannot be accused of substance abuse.
