? 5 weeks: Pregnancy is dated by the time passed since the last period. At the time of a positive pregnancy test,  you are already 4 weeks pregnant. While this doesn't make sense, this is the system we use.  A 5 week pregnancy loss may show up as a heavy or delayed period with or without cramping.

Irregular bleeding: If you think you may have had a miscarriage, you can do a pregnancy test.  The test will remain positive for a few days after a miscarriage.  It is not really necessary to see a doctor for an early miscarriage, unless you have heavy or prolonged bleeding or pain afterwards.  Occasionally, a woman may need a D&amp;C to control the bleeding, but this is not common.  You should not TTC again for 6 months

Spotting: Early miscarriage may present with spotting, heavey bleeding, with or without abdominal cramping or pain. Some patient may not have any symptom, the period may appear little more than usual.

may contain some degenerated fetal tissue  remains
will not have a viable fetus in it.

POC: Products of conception between 5-8 weeks will often have a small translucent sac measuring approximately 1 inch.  Often this is surrounded by pink tan spongy tissue.  Often seen with attached blood clot.  Hope this helps.

Multiple miscarriage: You must discuss your case with an infertility specialist. The cause of the miscarriages must be clarified if possible. Some pts have underline coagulopathy disorders like protein s, protein c, anti thrombin iii, factor v or other malfunction or reduced in amount coagulation factors.

Varies: This varies widely but most people will start to show around 18-24 weeks. It really depends on your body type. Very thin women may show very early. Heavier set women may not show until very late.

MTHFR test: Have a lab test for your MTHFR genes.    If you have a genetic variation (a SNP), then that may be a main cause of your recurrent miscarriages.   Eat dark leafy greens uncooked twice a day, avoid cyanocobalamin and unmethylated folic acid.   See www.mthfr.net for lots more information.
