Bee sting: Remove stinger by scraping along edge of skin with a credit card.  Clean with soap ; warm water.  Apply ice in 10 minute. Increments; alternating 10 on ; 10 off.  Tylenol, (acetaminophen) Aspirin or Motrin for pain or Benadryl for swelling.  Make a paste of 2 parts baking soda ; 1 part water ; apply.   Or you can apply a meat tenderizer poultice to the area. Throat, airway or tongue  swelling – call 911.

my son fell from a bunk bed 2 weeks ago. he ended up with a large bump on the back of his head. the dr said he was fine, but i'm worried since its bee?

Not uncommon: It sounds like the kid accumulated the equivalent of a bruise under a portion of his scalp (just above the skull bone). When this happens, there is no way for the blood to be absorbed easily (no nearby blood vessels) so it can remain and even form a calcium filled lump. It does not mean something hurt the brain under the skull. If the kid acts fine he likely is.It may take months to fade.

No: If you have tinnitus, you need an audiogram and an ENT examination.

Leaving the stinger: In can lead to more venom in your skin. You might develop a foreign body reaction or an infection. Remove stinger asap
by scraping along edge of skin w credit card. Clean area w soap ; warm water.

Infection: Usually a blister means infection, not a sting.  Stings can and do become infected.  It would be best to have it seen.  Infections usually need  oral antibiotics to keep them from spreading.

Depends: On when the tests were performed? if done right after a severe reaction to a bee sting, likely that will both be negative. If after 4-6 weeks of a severe reaction, if there is a discrepancy, then the skin test, if performed properly, would be more accurate, confer with your allergist, best wishes

Not sure: Your clinical information indicates that  you have Crohn's and are on an an antibiotic. It is difficult to tell from your description what this knot may be with any accuracy. If this is a softer, possibly rubbery small knot it could be a lymph node, but could be something else as well.  As with any lump you find, it should have it evaluated to make sure that there are not other concerns.

ive had skin tests that said i am allergic to wasp and bees but blood tests that say i am not. which is more accurate? why would discrepancies occur ?

: They test very different things. Discuss with your allergist who knows exactly what tests were done and how to interpret them. Avoid wasps and bees. Ask if u need to carry an allergy pen for injections.

Bee sting: Can try Tylenol, (acetaminophen) aspirin or Motrin for pain or Benadryl for swelling. Make paste of 2 parts baking soda &amp; 1 part water &amp; apply. Need tetanus shot every 10 years.
