Alleve: I rountinely use this as its easy and only twice a day.  Prescription strength Naproxen is twice the otc dose (500mg  twice daily).  It can cause GI upset so take with food or if continues may need other prescription med.

I have treated patients with infections of the outer ear (swimmers ear)  middle ear like an acute otitis media or jaw problems (TMJ). Referred pain to the ear and inner ear problems all exist.
