so im having serious pain on the left side of my vagina. ive been having this pain for 2 weeks. im also looking and i see bumps but they dont look like herpes/warts. my friend's aunt said i'm suffering from a yeast infection. idk i'm confused?

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see a doctor, preferably a gynecologist.  You may have Bartholin cyst/abscess.

Ensure that the: Yeast infection has cleared before you shave again. If you are sure it is a yeast infection you can treat with over the counter meds. Over- the- counter medicines for yeast infections include: micon 7, monistat, vagistat, (tioconazole) gynazole, femcare, gyne-lotrimin; mycelex.

like a month ago i got a yeast infection and i noticed bumps on my buttocks developing.could the bumps be caused by the yeast infection?

Yes: Yeast infection is usually from excessive moisture and can present with satellite lesions that look like pustules (white heads).  You may also have folliculitis which can be bacterial (common with friction, moisture, sitting too long, shaving, etc).  If your doctor gave you diflucan, (fluconazole) i would add and otc benzoyl peroxide acne wash in the shower - may bleach towels!

Yeast infection: Occasionally yeast infections can cause bumps if the tissue is really irritated, though itching and a thick white discharge are more likely. If the bumps go away when the yeast infection does - great. If they don't go away they might be something else like genital warts or infected hair follicles.

Yeast infection ?'s: Although some yeast (fungal) infections are not sensitive to certain antifungal medications, it is possible that another type of infection (not yeast) is causing continued symptoms. See your gyn physician for an exam and confirmatory culture.

Usually not...: A yeast infection presents with vaginal itching, burning sensation, whitish and sometimes yellowish discharge most of the time looking like cottage cheese or flaky. If you have lesions that are itchy, painful and started in the form of blisters it could be herpes, but don't panic boils can present with painful bumps as well. I would suggest that you see your GYN provider for a definite diagnosis.

Yes: Yeast will often cause small to moderate red papules but these are usually confined to moist genital  regions.
