Probably not: Bio oil will pro ably not help. Avoiding sun, mild steroid creams, retin-a, kojic acid and hydroquinone may be more beneficial but this will depend on the cause. Venus stasis dermatitis may be improved with compression stockings.

Won't work: It's not a bad option for preventing new lesions from forming. The red and/or pigmented lesions need to fade over time. If you are still getting lesions, and topical agents aren't clearing them, please get with your physician.

are brown and red hyperpigmentations from acne and benzoyl peroxide (burn) permenant ? how long does it takes for my skin to return to an even tone and what topical treatments help? i currently stopped using bp and uses retinol and moisturizer daily.

Not permanent: But will be slow to resolve. Adapalene, if you can get it, is good for this and is OTC in US. Retinol might help but tretinoin will do much more. Controlling the acne is essential.

Acne markes lighter: Acne is lighter and often red and pustular.
Few are hyperpigmented and may not be acne.

Hydroquinone: This is your best bleach. Don't overdo it. The marks eventually fade on their own, and they probably look worse to you than they do to anyone else. Especially, i'm sorry your acne wasn't treated properly in the first place. Best wishes.
