More Info Needed: You should provide description of pain, location, duration, etc. To be able to answer.  This may indicate a serious medical issue and should be evaluated by a physician.  Both tylenol (acetaminophen) and Excedrin are mild-mod pain relievers, but Aspirin products do have effects on coagulation.  You need to get a medical consult to determine type and cause of pain in your head.

Call Doctor ASAP!: If this is the first time you have had this symptom, it could be something serious. Call your doctor ASAP or go to Emergency room. Otherwise Try meditation, relaxation, warm compresses at the back of the neck and temples for 10-12 minutes about 3 times daily.

New headache: This sounds new. Any new headache refractory to pain medication and with associated symptoms such as fever, confusion, muscle weakness, dizziness, or vision change needs evaluation.  Although still more likely to be transient/treatable, I would recommend seeing your physician or heading to the ED if the pain is unremitting.

Migraine: Suggest u keep the amount of acetaminophen below 4000mg. However there are better therapies for migraine and using Otc Meds can lead to rebound headaches and convert episodic migraine to chronic daily headache

Depends: Excedrin contains tylenol (or acetaminophen)/caffeine/aspirin.  For some people, tylenol alone can help with their headache.  For more severe headache/migraine, excedrin might help better since it has caffeine which helps to constrict your blood vessels.  In both cases, it will not treat/cure your headache, but it will help with the pain.

Headache: This headache sounds pretty severe.  It appears you have a history of migraine. Is this one similar or much worse?  Migraines shouldn't last more than 3 days. 
If this headache is not improving and/or very different from your typical migraines, please see a doctor right away. Your doctor if possible today, ER if your doc is unavailable.

help! hemiplegic migraine last night & head still pounding today. can i take excederine migraine at 9 weeks pregnant? tylenol doesn't work!

Call ob: It would be a good idea to call your ob to discuss this headache further.  However excedrin can be used safely in the first trimester.  Make sure you are drinking plenty of water and eating small regular meals as well
