Increased Blood flow: Veins open up after exercise to return the blood used by muscles and to allow cool down of the calories you burned.
If no pain, should be no problem. If you have pain or other symptoms, then  see a doc.

Yes: The cast may have pressed on the skin and caused some some bleeding under the skin. If you are really concerned please consult with your family physician. There is nothing like a visual exam to make an accurate  diagnosis.

hi. i broke my knee and now after 1 month, the plaster cast is removed but my leg keeps swelling even my foot has swelled and my skin is darker than usual, is this a part of the healing process or is it a problem? what the reason can be?

: Does your attending MD know about the leg &amp; foot swelling? I'm concerned about a blood clot in a vein. A leg ultrasound to check for phlebitis is indicated. Inform your MD or consult a vascular surgeon ASAP

I recommend that some one with your problem be seen by your primary care doctor or a dematologist so that a definitive diagnosis & appropriate treatment can be started.

Need more info: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. However what you described suggests venous stasis. If she is overweight that may be contributing to the problem and losing weight would be imperative.

Usually trauma: Calluses form at sites of skin trauma and usually due to footwear if on the ankle. Changing shoes or adding a layer of protection/cushion at the site may help.  Frequent moisturizing may help too.
