Venule: Most likely a small venule or capillary.  If you a taking daily Aspirin or regular NSAID use this might make you prone to do this.  Also, vitamin E or even garlic if supplemented.

Bad Veins: What you are describing are varicose veins with either areas of enlarged varicosities(look like grapes) or areas of superficial phlebitis(clotted veins),  either way  you should see a vein specialist for a full venous evaluation including a venous reflux ultrasound to make the diagnosis and help to determine the treatment plan.

the doctor at urgent care said my 21 month old has infantigo,  would this cause bumps with hard knots under the skin to th point that he doesn't want to stand on that leg?

It is curvature of: the spine that can feel to you like knots over the areas where it is curving. Do you have double scoliosis? What is your degree of curvature? Where is your scoliosis? Midback, low back? If lower, depending on Grade seen, it can affect your hips, lower extremities, and you should be working with an osteopathic physician/ PT to help reduce pain symptoms.
