Not to worry: The tonsils in the throat are lined with squamous epithelium (skin).  Sometimes the normal growth of this lining can invaginate and grow inwards causing a benign cyst.  If there is no redness around the cyst and if does not cause pain or enlarge, i would not worry about it.  The question is, is this really a cyst?  See an ENT doctor for reassurance.

The are specialized organs that trap bacteria, viruses, and fungi to aid the immune system in killing them off. The pastules that you asked about are areas where the tonsil tissue is actively fighting infection by germs.

Could be many things: Those &quot;white items&quot;  could be from inflammation caused by smoking, acid reflux, snoring,  or viral infections like colds.  In most cases, uvulitis will subside in 24 to 48 hours,   you can gargle with warm salt water and try abstaining from the causative factors  is smoking etc...

May be physiologic :   And maybe physiologic was the other thing one would consider is whether it is infected since it is tender. This is something discuss with your physician and maybe get a culture
