Fungus can : Cause this, so can a melanoma.....You should have it examined, it could be blood as well. You can get blood from simply walking, the end of the shoe can hit against the edge of the toenail and cause a subungual hematoma.

Be careful: If you have dark skin it's fairly common to find dark stripes running down your nails
 this occurs in more than 77% of black people over the age of 20 and in most cases is perfectly normal

however it is not something to ignore dark stripes may sometimes be a form of skin cancer that affects the nail bed called subungual melanoma it's therefore important that your doctor checks it to rule melanom.

Dark toenails: Dark lines in toenails of African Americans is often a result of genetics, but can also be triggered by chronic minor trauma, such as shoes as you have mentioned.  Fungal infections of the toenails is usually characterized by yellowing, thickening and flaking.

i have been using hand sanitizer and all of a sudden i have discoloration around where my ring sits and the palm of my hands lines are turning dark brown. what could this be caused from?

Timing: Suggests an effect of the hand sanitizer in the form of possible inflammation that resulted in skin discoloration. Other conditions causing the discoloration cannot be ruled out. Best would be to use water and soap and not use the sanitizer that typically has a drying effect on the skin. If your hand changes persist, seeing your GP will be advisable.

Probably not: Probably not a blood clot in the typical use of the term.  It could be a small hematoma or a pressure phenomena from rhe crutch use.  I would let your doctor look at it and an exam alone will likely determine the diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

Get it seen.: A burn on the hand can be very serious, so I think you should get in and have it looked at.  You can place a cool clean rag on the burn in the meantime, but please get this evaluated.

most noticable when laying down. the left side of my neck above my subclavicular joint gets heavy pulsation. what could cause this? could it be life threatening. my left hand can get tingling and gets darker colored some times. also left headache?
