Multiple causes: Get an ophthalmolgy examination multiple medical causes may be at work here. I suggest that you STOP the Benadryl (diphenhydramine).

Transient blackout of vision in one eye could be several things including a momentary loss of circulation to the eye, while simultaneous blackout of vision in both eyes could be due to reduced circulation to the brain or other neurologic causes. See your doctor asap!

Can be normal: Light flashes or sparks can be nonspecific and not dangerous. They can indicate vitreous traction or may actually be coming from irritation in the brain in the visual tracts. If the sparks occur in the temperol periphery it may be secondary to changes in the eye. Though these are usually normal findings it may be helpful to have a doctor check you if they continue.

Muscle imbalance: The most common cause is muscle imbalance between the eyes. If this is the cause then covering each eye will eliminate the double vision. If you cover each eye and it is still blurry, you most likely need glasses. An eye care professional can correct these problems.

Possibly Migraine: This is a somewhat unusual symptom, but sounds like it could possibly be from ocular migraine. No headache or pain is required for that diagnosis. You should have a thorough exam by an ophthalmologist, probably including a visual field exam, to help determine the cause and to rule out certain neurological causes. Depending on the testing results, neuroimaging with a ct scan or MRI may be required.
