i'm on 50mg sertraline and i read that it can cause low sodium, how likely is that and should i add more salt in my diet? if i eat late or not eat enough i feel weak and i'm worried it's hyponatremia?

: Eating more salt will not help. If the cause is Sertraline you may want to discuss changing meds with Dr.  Go to Drugs.com and look up all meds you are taking as many can cause low blood Na. Not likely at your age.

Low salt foods: You should avoud frozen foods since they tend to have alot of sodium in them. Do not add salt to your food while it is cooking. Add it when you eat it, since you will tend to add less.

8 days ago in the er i was prescribed 10mg dexamethasone sodium phosphate through iv. would this one time dose affect my immune system? and how long does this typically stay in your system? im ready for it to be out of my system?

Not significantly: This intravenous steroid just mimics the natural stress response of the body (steroid production) but at a higher level. That single infusion is gone from your system now lasting at most a few days. Daily infusions at a therapeutic (high) dose  over days &amp; weeks would suppress the immune response for a significant period. Single infusions have only a mild &amp; transient effect.

rash on legs 3 days after stopping diclofenac sodium pills after 7 days. any connection? how long does this med stay in system?

: Diclofenac should be cleared out the system after 3 days but the allergic reaction which was initiated by the drug will take more time to resolve.

RAAS turn ons: The renin angiotensin aldosterone system is designed to maintain blood volume. It is turned on when there are actual fluid deficits, such as vomiting or dehydration, or deficits perceived by the kidney as those patients with congestive heart failure. As a result of increased activity of the RAAS, urine volume and sodium losses by the kidney decreases. High potassium is possible, as well.

Not sodium: Sodium high or low will not help you lose weight. The issue is sugar or carbohydrates and the total amount of calories you are consuming. Sodium varies widely and is of no consequence in the scenario you describe.

Yes: Sodium  retains fluids in the body, the more sodium intake the more fluid retention, frequently  seen as cause  of high blood pressure, swelling s among other signs. 
Most of the time a soup is just part of a meal in a day, if it contains  already  540 mg of sodium,  imagine how much you will end up consuming with the entire meal  and throughout the dayl

Sodium: No. have your Dr measure your 24 hr urine Na and then you will know more.

my b/p  80-70/50-40. my normal is 100/60. when i eat more sodium i feel better. i know this is unhealthy. any suggestions on what might be going on?

Sodium unhealthy?: You may be wrong.  All of us need some salt in our diets.  As long as you have healthy kidneys and are hydrating regularly you may not need to limit your salt at this point of your life.
