Depends: Removal of the uterus only has no effect on sexual function. If the ovaries are also removed there will be a significant effect. This can be avoided with hormone replacement. The ovaries produce estradiol,progesterone,and testosterone.

Probably the same: I'm guessing that the sexual appetite would be pretty much the same. Some women say that orgasm feels differently after a hysterectomy. I think it is very fair to expect an adjustment period, partly due to the surgical recovery. But i think it's likely you will feel well in all parameters - particularly if your uterus has been causing you symptoms of distress.

Good to hear that you are sexually active again. Intimate physical connection makes most adults feel better physically and mentally.    While you don't need to worry about becoming pregnant, don't forget that it is a good rule to prevent STD infection by using condoms.

Hello, : Hello, if it didn't come out then it is still in your body. Here is some info about finding a tampon. First, wash your hands well with soap and water. Clean under your fingernails as well. 
Second, make sure you donâ€™t have long nails. 
Third, you can sit on the toilet and gently bear down, just like you would if your were about to have a bowel movement. This pressure can help to push a tampon down, so that hopefully you will be able to locate it with your fingers.
Fourth, gently place your finger in your vagina to feel for the tampon. You can bear down while you are doing this. Sweep you finger gently through the vagina. If you feel the tampon or the string for the tampon, you can insert a second finger, grasp and gently pull down. 
If you develop fever, pain, a discharge with odor you should not put off getting medical care. If you can not  find it  or can not remove it, you should see your gynecologist, so that the tampon can be removed.

Ovaries gone?: First of all, if your ovaries were removed at the time of surgery and you did not receive estrogen replacement therapy from your GYN MD start by going back for the needed estrogen which "shrinks" the vagina. Secondly, use copious amounts of  water soluble lubricant. Thirdly, control your sexual position to decrease the depth of penetration. Estrogen vaginal cream by Rx. can provide immediate help.

No, : No, this is not normal. Women will generally have vaginal bleeding for 4 to 6 weeks after the surgery, then will subside. Light spotting is possible. However, heavy bleeding requires evaluation by a doctor.
