Ocular irritation: Likely causes of twitching of the eyelid (eyelid myokymia )are related to ocular surface irritation, whether its from dry eyes, eyelid inflammation, allergies, dust, wind, medications, too much caffeine, or stress. First trial artificial tears 4-6 times per day. Warm compresses and lid massages may also help. See an eye md if these don't help.

Unfortunately : Unfortunately there is no easy answer, other than you need to reduce your stress.  Anxiety, stress, lack of sleep, sickness can all contribute to blepharospasm or the eyelid twitching.  Depending on the degree of stress, the symptoms can last anywhere from days to weeks.  The good news is that there is no permanent damage, the bad news, until you are able to manage your stress, your symptoms will likely persist.
